Saw Blades for Byrnes Saw Accessories

HSS Dmo5 · 80 teeth · hollow ground

The same precision saw blades we use in our own shop to mill the wood you see across Hobbymill.EU. 80-tooth HSS (Dmo5) circular blades for the Byrnes table saw — hollow ground, meaning the body of the blade is thinner than the tooth tips, so the blade clears the kerf cleanly and leaves a glass-smooth cut on hardwoods like boxwood, pear and hornbeam.

About these blades

These are the exact saw blades we use in our own workshop to mill every sheet, strip and square strip you see on Hobbymill.EU. After years of testing different blades on dense hardwoods, this is the one that consistently delivers a clean, near-sanded surface straight off the saw.

Hollow ground means the blade body is ground thinner than the tooth tips. The kerf is cut by the teeth, and the thinner body has clearance through that kerf — so the blade doesn't rub, doesn't burn, and stays cooler and straighter than a flat blade of the same thickness. The result is a smoother cut face and a thinner, more accurate slice — which matters when you're milling 0.6 mm sheets or 3 mm strips.

Two variants available: 80×1.2mm (heavier-duty general-purpose cut) and 80×0.8mm (thinner kerf, less waste on small stock). Both are 80T HSS Dmo5, 12.7 mm bore — direct fit on the Byrnes table saw.
