Pre-cut handle blanks in 40 × 30 × 140 mm — available in Swiss Pear, Castello Boxwood, Black Hornbeam and Karelian Birch. Dense, stable hardwoods selected for grip, durability and beautiful finish.
Each knife blank is milled to 40 × 30 × 140 mm — a generous size that suits full-tang, hidden-tang and Scandinavian-style handles. Four species are offered, each with a distinct character so you can pick the wood that matches your blade and intended use.
Swiss Pear (Pyrus communis) — warm pinkish-cream tone with an exceptionally fine, even grain. Stable, easy to shape and sands to a glass-smooth finish. A refined, traditional look.
Castello Boxwood (Calycophyllum multiflorum) — pale creamy-yellow, dense and glass-smooth. Holds carved or checkered detail beautifully and polishes to a near-ivory finish. Ideal for fine, decorative handles.
Black Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus, dyed through) — deep, uniform black through the full thickness. Hard, dense and a sustainable alternative to ebony. Sharp contrast against polished steel bolsters.
Karelian Birch (Betula pendula var. carelica) — prized for its dramatic flame-and-fleck figure. No two blanks are alike; each piece is a one-off with strong character and warm honey-brown tones.
All blanks are kiln-dried below 8% moisture and kept in stock. Surfaces are clean-milled and ready for shaping, sanding and finishing.
